Accessibility
Last updated 2026-11-05.
We want everyone to be able to play and learn on notebookfun. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA for the pages around the games, and we keep improving the games themselves.
What we do
- Every page has a skip link, headings in order, and real buttons and links that work with a keyboard.
- Most games can be played with a keyboard; the controls for each game are listed under “How to play”.
- A Reduced motion switch in the footer (and your system setting) calms animations, shaking and flashing.
- Sound is optional and can be muted with one button.
- Text is real text that you can enlarge, select and copy, with strong contrast on the paper background.
- Images have descriptions, and each game has written notes explaining what happens on screen.
What is not perfect yet
Many games are drawn on a canvas and depend on seeing movement, so they are hard or impossible to play with a screen reader. Some games need quick timing or precise pointing. We are working on alternatives and slower modes.
Tell us about a barrier
If something stops you from using the site, please write to hello@notebookfun.com with the page and what happened. We will reply and try to fix it.
